When searching for an explanation of my parenting style, I couldn't help but recall my college thesis on postmodernism. (To be specific, it was on the symbolism of Postmodernism in Matt Groening's The Simpsons). Postmodernism, as defined, is a wide-reaching term applied to all outlets of culture - art, philosophy, architecture, fiction, and cultural and literary criticism - that ultimate recognizes reality as a construction of the mind's attempt to understand its own particular and personal reality. Essentially, it's an interpretation of all specific experiences unique to that person. For me, my mothering style is exactly this - a constant exploration of myself & my preferences, as a result of my interactions with fellow moms - young and old.

I invite you to join me to collectively discourse on all things mothering & learn about what best suits us as we strive to become the best mothers - and individuals - we can be.

All the best, from my family to yours -
